Steven Wilson is a Director of Wilson Hutton Associates Limited and been engaged in construction for forty years. In 1998, having spent in excess of twenty-one years in the construction industry, eleven at Director and Deputy Managing Director level, he identified the need for a Professional Quantity Surveying Service to meet the increasing demand from main contractors. Upon realisation that there were very few such Practices the seed was sown and hence, in 1998, a Partnership was formed with Roger Hutton which hailed the arrival of Wilson Hutton Associates.
Professionally qualified having attained Membership of both the Chartered Institute of Building and Chartered Management Institute in 1985, Steven was admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building in 1994. These academic qualifications together with the practical experience obtained whilst engaged as Estimating Director and Deputy Managing Director of a substantial construction company means he can empathise with the needs of the main contractor operating in the modern day construction management environment.
Although no longer a “spring chicken”, he is still very keen to embrace all aspects of technology thus helping to ensure that Wilson Hutton Associates Limited continue to deliver a first class service to their entire Client base. Akin with all members of Wilson Hutton Associates Limited, Steven remains “hands on” participating in the measurement and production of comprehensive Bills of Quantities for multi-million pound projects on a daily basis, striving to continually promote an efficient and Professional service to all the Practice’s Clients.
